Every day, people in the IL Network reach out to ask questions or to learn something new that will strengthen their Center for Independent Living or their Statewide Council on Independent Living.
As the Technical Assistance Coordinator for IL-NET, I field many of those questions. Sometimes the same question comes up again later, and I think, “We ought to have a way to get the answers out to the field.” How can we make sure that everyone has access to others’ questions and answers?
That is the purpose of this blog. Without identifying specific CILs and SILCs, I will be posting the questions that you and others like you have, and then researching and posting the answers.
One added bonus is that you can view these questions and answers at a time that is convenient to you, whether you are in Guam, Maine, Texas or California.
Another advantage is that, if your Center or SILC has a creative way of addressing the question, you can add your comments to mine and provide a broader range of solutions and suggestions than any one person can provide.
So jump in. Ask any question that will further the goals of the Independent Living movement. Comment on the questions that interest you. And thanks for joining us in this latest addition to our menu of Training and Technical Assistance options.
